Nebbiolo d’Alba
A wine that manifests its agreeability during its youth and is also suitable for good aging, acquiring complexity.
- Production Area: Piedmont, La Morra.
- Grape variety: 100% Nebbiolo. Average age of grapes 40 years.
- Denomination: Nebbiolo d’Alba D.O.C.
- Vinification: destemming-crushing, maceration in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 77-79° F for 10-12 days with daily pumping over of the must, followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation.
- Aging: in large casks of different capacities.
- Color: garnet red.
- Nose: notes of roses, violets, blackberries and red currants;
- Taste: excellent balance between acidity and tannins.
- Food Pairing: ideal with red meat and medium or mature cheeses. Perfect also with homemade pasta and risotto.
- Alcohol content: 13.5%
- Serving temperature: 60-65°F
