Fiano

It takes its name from the homonymous wine that the Latins called Vitis Apiana, named after the particularly greedy bees of the sweetness of these grapes. Frederick II of Swabia ordered three “salme” (3 small boats) of Fiano. Charles of Anjou also planted 16,000 in his royal vineyard

  • Production Area: Campania, Masseria Capitorre, Gualignano, Montesarchio (BN).
  • Grapes: 100% Fiano.
  • Denomination: Fiano Beneventano I.G.P.
  • Soil: Clay and sandstone.
  • Altitude: 300 meters above sea level.
  • Growing system: Row plant with guyot pruning.
  • Harvest: First ten days of October.
  • Vinification: Soft pressing and fermentation at a controlled temperature of 15°C. Aging in Stainless steel for a few months and aging in bottle.
  • Color: Straw color with greenish reflections.
  • Nose: clean, intense, with first floral, then almond notes, very elegant, passion fruit, flint, and apple blossom.
  • Taste: lively, fresh and complex.
  • Food Pairing: it is excellent aperitif, sea food dishes
  • Serving temperature: 6°-8° C.
  • Alcohol Content:  11.5%  by vol.
