Borromeo Chianti Classico
Wine named in honor of the noble Borromeo family. Ancient soils of Pliocene origin have given rise to a beautiful round pebbles of granite, allowing or a great variety of minerals and excellent drainage.
- Production Area: Tuscany, San Casciano in Val di Pesa, province of Florence.
- Grapes: Sangiovese 90%, Merlot 10%
- Altitude: 350-400 m asl, 1100-1400 ft asl.
- Denomination: Riserva D.O.C.G.
- Vinification: Fermentation take place in glass lined concrete tanks, aged in French oak barriques for 24 months.
- Color: bright ruby red with violet reflections.
- Bouquet: intricate, feeling of blackberry, jam the anticipate elegant scents of licorice, leather, tobacco and coffee.
- Taste: full bodied wine that seduces the palate with elegance and softness, long finish pleasantly spiced.
- Food pairing: Tuscan antipasto, wild boar pappardelle pasta, roasted meats, Florentine steak, aged cheeses.
- Alcohol Content: 13% by vol.
