Barbera d’Alba

  • Production Area: Piedmont, Vineyards in Langa.
  • Grape: 100% Barbera.
  • Denomination: Barbera d’Alba D.O.C.
  • Vinification: destemming-crushing, maceration in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 77-79° F for 10-12 days with daily pumping over the must, followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation.
  • Aging: in oak barrels of different capacities.
  • Color: intense ruby red with captivating purple reflections.
  • Nose: aroma of red currant and morello cherry, alternating and blending with cocoa and vanilla;
  • Taste: a wine showing great power and balance between the pleasant acidity and the sweetness of the smooth tannins.
  • Food Pairing: tasty first courses, red meats and medium seasoned cheeses. Try it also with a nice wild mushroom risotto.
  • Serving temperature: 60-65°F
  • Alcohol: 14.5% by vol.
