Production area: Veneto
Grapes: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Oseleta, Negrara.
Harvest: In the month of September, made by hand, all the grapes come from the Vigolo hill.
Vinification: The grapes naturally dry for 5 months and they lose 40-45% of their original weight. Fermentation is in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks with natural yeasts for more than 60 days; remontage 3 times a day.
Aging: New french oak barriques for 42, 12 months in bottles before being released.
Alcohol content: 15% by volume.
Color: Ruby red with garnet highlights.
Nose: Cherries, plums, smoky with a touch of bittersweet chocolate. Taste: Intense, full-flavored and full-bodied.
Food Pairing: The Forlago is a meditation wine. It is so nice to enjoy the Forlago at the end of the meal only for the pleasure to enjoy a superb glass of wine!
Serving: 18°C open the bottle at least an hour before consuming.
