Denomination: Barbaresco cru “Sorì Serragrilli”
Production Area: Langhe, Piedmont.
Grape: 100% Nebbiolo
Vinification: Fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The wine then matures for 18 months in new barriques of French Allier oak; followed by three years in French oak casks before bottling.
Bottle Aged: For at least 8 months in the cellar before release.
Alcohol Content: 13.5%
Color: Dark garnet red
Nose: Very elegant, rich and concentrated, with fruity and spicy notes of cassis and blackberry, pepper and berry jam.
Taste: Warm and soft, with good acidity and high quality dense tannins;
very long finish.
Food Paring: Very best when matched with big entrées and main courses; perfect with fresh game; it has gentle acidity and plenty of tannins.
Cheeses: very mature, mixed.
